Normic was born out of a bet.
I am Noemy, the founder of Normic, and this is our story:
My husband has always been passionate about puzzles, and I love challenges. A few months ago, while my husband was working on a puzzle with our kids helping him, I had an idea… I decided to buy my husband a puzzle and give it to him without any reference or image. It seemed like a crazy idea, I know. I bought an animal puzzle, took it out of the box when it arrived, put the pieces in a bag, and said to him, "I bet you can't complete this puzzle without any reference." As expected, he accepted the challenge.
When he finished assembling the puzzle, he told me it had been a real challenge and that the experience had been super exciting. After thinking it over, I decided to take it a step further and set my own challenge... Why not create a brand of puzzles without images?
I founded Normic with the idea that assembling puzzles should not only be a pastime, but also have an element of challenge and intrigue.
I believe that assembling a puzzle without an image is a metaphor for life itself: a journey full of uncertainties, where the final destination is often unknown. Just like in life, we don’t know what the future holds, what surprises, challenges, or joys we will encounter along the way. But what truly matters, what gives meaning to our existence, is the ability to enjoy and appreciate every moment, every small victory, every lesson learned along the journey.
